About Us
Protecting our oceans for future generations
Blue Conscience exists to bridge the gap between international ocean policy frameworks and practical, community-driven implementation.
From coral reefs to classrooms, from fisher livelihoods to national biodiversity strategies, Blue Conscience weaves a continuous thread of purpose that helps partners, funders and communities understand the full scope of our work.
Together, these initiatives create an empowered society dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems in St Kitts and Nevis.
Conservation
We implement various initiatives aimed at protecting marine life, restoring endangered habitats, reducing pollution, and promoting sustainable practices:
- Ecosystem-based restoration approach
-
Sustainable fishing and livelihoods
-
Coastal cleanups
-
Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)
By doing so we support the current UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: ‘Life Below Water’

Science
We acquire scientific data that supports conservation and informs decision-makers through:
-
Citizen science observations
-
Marine ecosystem monitoring and research
-
Policy-relevant data collection and reporting
-
Collaboration with international partners and regional research institutions
We support local authorities in fulfilling their policy commitments for sustainable marine management.

Education
We want to foster marine stewardship and deepen the connection with the ocean through:
-
Ocean Science programmes for schools and holiday camps
-
Community workshops and ocean literacy outreach
-
Ocean Rangers Programme for young advocates
Education ensures that conservation efforts have a long-lasting impact and creates a generational shift in relationship to the ocean.
